Huawei Charging System Integration with OTRS

The Data-Craft team successfully implemented the integration of Huawei Charging System with RighTel’s OTRS ticketing platform. This project was designed to improve operational efficiency, enhance error management accuracy, and reduce response times for charging system issues.

Technical Implementation

• Data Extraction and Processing:
  Charging system data was collected via SNMP Trap and processed using Python libraries such as Pandas. The data was cleaned, normalized, and converted into a format suitable for Zabbix monitoring.

• OTRS Ticketing Integration:
  Using OTRS APIs and Python’s Requests library, the system automatically generated tickets in OTRS. This process included detecting charging errors, categorizing them, and assigning tickets to relevant groups.

• System Monitoring:
  To provide comprehensive monitoring of Huawei charging systems, Zabbix was employed. Huawei devices were configured to send SNMP Traps for errors or alerts, enabling real-time data collection and processing.

• Dashboards and Visualizations:
  Python scripts and Zabbix API were used to generate monitoring graphs delivered to operational teams. Additionally, Zabbix dashboards were created using SNMP data and Huawei FTP files, providing a complete overview of system status, resource usage, and overall performance.
